Jacksonville Veterans Memorial ArenaAs part of the city's "Better Jacksonville Plan," the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena was built in 2003. The multi-purpose arena seats nearly 17,000 and is home to the Jacksonville Sports Hall of Fame, the Jacksonville Sharks of the Arena Football League and the Jacksonville Dolphins men's basketball team.

Other sporting events hosted at the arena include pro bull riding competitions, WWE shows and some of the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament games.

The Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena also welcomes concerts from some of the most famous entertainers in the world. Elton John was the first performer to grace the arena's stage. Past performances include Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Metallica, Queen & Paul Rodgers, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, Brooks & Dunn, Tim McGraw, Def Leppard, Journey, Billy Joel, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, AC/DC and many others.
